Afghanistan defeated team hongkong in the wc qualifiers match held at bangladesh today. Hongkong won the toss and chose to bat first. the hongkong opener Irfan Ahmed was clean bowled by afghan bowler Shapoor in the very first ball he faced. later scintillating knocks by jamie atkinson , mark chapman and waqas barkat made Hongkong reach a moderate total of 153/8 in 20 overs.
Afghanistan chasing a target of 154 was given a good start by opener shahzad who scored 68 of 53 balls . but his partner najeeb taraki lost his wicket soon for just runs. later Shafiqullah scored 51 of just 24 balls and finishe the match in style.Afghanistan won by 7 wickets.
